Hi,

We are wanting to know if anyone has managed to use a Rest API on the new V20 3CX update?

V20 now has 2 additional API features, however we are aware people have previously struggled or had to use third party integration companies, which can be problematic when new updates are launched.

We are wanting to use 3CX to push calls to the user's desktop application from a web based call queue, this will be a group of users (4-8) who will be calling from a queue.

We know the CFM previously offered something similar, however we do not want the user to have at accept the call and then the call be joined, we are looking for something similar to that of the old TAPI solution, where calls were pushed to an extension and the caller could use the extension functions.

Thank you in advance for the response.

Regards

Not sure exactly what you're wanting but the CRM integration call data in CFD might help you.

Otherwise, the call control REST API is not there yet. Only the configuration API is, which is used by the new Webclient Admin.

Any words on the schedule of the Call Control REST API?

I posted right above saying nothing yet. It hasn't changed since Monday lol

My guess is that it will be v20 U2.

Is there any documentation on the Configuration API?

3CX has not yet released official documentation but the swagger is available.
3CX plans to write clear documentation to facilitate understanding, including many examples.

This will still require good knowledge of GET/POST/PATCH requests.

In the meantime, if you are experienced with swagger, you can consult the swagger mentioned by @ConceptsWeb ; it will give you a list of possible parameters.

3CX does not offer any support (tickets) for the APIs.

As indicated on this page.

Under the title; Not included in Support

In my opinion (lacking official confirmation), should support ever be offered, it will be made available through the forum in a dedicated section... under the supervision of the skilled talents of Ernesto Dos Santos Afonso ( alias @edossantos  ).

:D

Is there an authentication URL? In the past, provided I logged into the 3CX console first, I was temporarily authenticated and could execute the APIs. Now that approach does not work.

Nothing official yet. Usually we use the Webclient login.
