Implemented 3CX SBC Status in Admin GUI

Especially with the emphasis on hosted installations, I forsee many SBC's being deployed, either hardware (Pi) or software on Windows clients. Rather than depend on the "Lost registration" notification per extension, Is it possible to treat the SBC similar to a trunk as for as visibility and notifications go? i.e. a new line item under the System Status or maybe show up in the Bridge section. The big difficulty in my mind is if 3CX tracks the SBCs differently from a 3CXPhone tunnel.

As it sits right now the only method of monitoring is status notification by extension, and that has the potential to generate mass amounts of email traffic.

I would also like to see each SBC become an object, so that when configuring phones we can simply select the correct SBC. Additionally, when there is an IP address change for an SBC it only needs to be done once.

Given the recent SBC Encryption debacle, this option would be a great way to assist in troubleshooting/monitoring of the environments.

This should be given top priority. So many companies rely on their tunnel service working and we have no way of knowing when it breaks until our own ticketing system starts to flood in with the issues.

Especially after today's incident i feel it would be very kind for 3cx to give us an answer on this "feature"

Its unfortunate that 3cx allows the channel partners to take the brunt of this burden. We need something to help us here. It needs to be something that can notify us somehow.

We simply cant afford not to have this.

I agree, it is an absolute shocker that you cannot see the status of an SBC tunnel from inside of the gui.

Hi,

I agree that you be able to see the status of SBC connections in the Management Interface.

I also think the SBC should try to restart itself each time the Tunnel connection is lost.

I've noticed that the latest releases of the SBC appear to be less reliable than the earlier 15.x releases and that all versions of the SBC are less reliable than the older Proxy Manager.

We found the Proxy Manager to be extremely reliable and it also offered better call quality when using Cisco handsets then the SBC.

We only moved from the Proxy Manager to the SBC following the last years major update to the SBC which improved the voice quality.

With the current release I'm finding that I need to restart the SBC service at some remote locations multiple times in a day.

An auto restart would be fantastic....along with the status in the gui and email notfications.

I agree. It would be very nice to be able to monitor the SBC connection status in the management console.
Currently, we use a 3rd party provider to monitor all sorts of services for our server environments.
Nable by SolarWinds. It doesn't have the ability to give us the connections status, only whether the service is running.
It also has the ability to self heal or restart the services which is very nice. We get notified via ticketing either way.

This is an important one - finding out from clients that phones are down is not acceptable - especially in a Managed IT contract environment.

We started monitoring SBC systems with a third party tool to make sure they were online, but that did not trigger when the encryption issue started this week...
