Hello,

I have a client with trial PBX Express on Google Cloud (test google account), and now I need to transfer that 3CX server to another PBX Express installation on Google Cloud.
The problem is that I already have full license key, and when I want to install 3CX Express on my google account, wizard is always forcing me to use trial key, and I don't want that because I already have full license key.
Question, is it possible to install 3CX Express on GC with full license key right away, without using trial key?

One more thing, when new server is up, I want to take a backup from trial 3CX and import into new one and re provision SBC to connect to new 3CX instance and also update option 66 on clients location. Is this possible, or I need to do it differently?

This is my first setup so sorry if I'm asking dumb questions, but I want to make sure that everything will work without disruption after migration.

Regards
Goran

Yes it is. Access the PBX Express and use your licence key. https://pbxexpress.3cx.com/
The full guide for creating an instance on GC can be found here: https://www.3cx.com/docs/hosted-pbx-google-cloud/

Yes you can. Just perform a backup without licence and FQDN information. Also if you want to use the same FQDN you will need to release it from the Free licence key before you can bind it to the new key. You can do so through the costumer portal.

Glad i could assist. Let us know if everything works out OK or if further assistance is required.

Ok, I have successfully imported backup from trial server into new Google Cloud VM with full license and everything looks great except one thing. Google by default installed VM with standard HTTPS port (443) and not 3CX default 5001. Does this means that my Option 66 will be "https://URL/something/something" without port changes? I guess it is, but I also want to test anyway. If answer is yes, please close this thread and mark resolved.
Thanks!

You would hand out whatever URL 3CX is telling you to hand out under the provisioning tab for the phone. But if 3CX isn't listening on 5001 anymore then you shouldn't tell devices to find their configuration on 5001.
