3CX SMTP server not recognized.

Recently, the ability to send reports has failed on 2 separate systems. We were originally set using our own server but it is now selected for the 3CX server. When I hit the test button, the response is "No such host is known" We are on the paid version. Please advise what the issue may be and how we can make it work.

Furthermore, when I set up a custom host, I get the same error message. Of course this one is on our domain and it works fine outside of 3CX

In regards to using your own SMTP server, this option is only available in the PRO and Enterprise licence versions: https://www.3cx.com/ordering/pricing/

Although in the case of the 3CX SMTP server - if this is happening on multiple systems, as per this string here: https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-smtp-server-down.60795/ the service maybe down, although I have not seen any other reports on the forums of this - but you never know, it is the holidays for most currently.

We are using the Enterprise version and the mail service was running fine until something changed. 12/21 is what one use said that it stopped at. In either case, I get a no such host error when trying a custom or built in 3CX SMTP server.

So no such host sounds like a DNS error. I would confirm you can ping/resolve smtp-proxy.3cx.net
