3CX StartUP has surpassed 5000 sign-ups and it’s time for our first big update. We’ve fine tuned call handling with the addition of digital receptionists and call queues. The StartUP wizard has also been updated and improved to get you “started-up” in no time.

Will 3CX be adding SMS messaging to the StartUP software? This is becoming increasingly popular with smaller companies.

Nope, StartUP will be SBC phones ONLY.

STUN isn't reliable enough so they don't wanna support that, same goes for Hosted 3CX.

Only self-hosted can.

Yealink, Snom, Fanvil.

Grandstream would never, or would but it will never work lol

I mean we currently use the OpenVPN client built into some of the phones to handle this type of situation, I assume you would do similar? Make 3CX server also be an OpenVPN server, provisioning config can push out the certs/packages, away we go?

No, you would run one of the SBC capable phones and the other phones will connect to 3CX through that phone. No need for OpenVPN or an OpenVPN server. We will auto provision the phone via the RPS server.

Oh that sounds handy, especially for 1-2 phones. If that phone is off though will it recover to another? Guessing not but thought I'd ask. :)

@SteveITS No, but if all goes as planned then should the internet connection fail the phones can still call each other which is still a good result. The IP Phone functions as a i kind of router for internal calls in that case....

Really enjoyed your system for about 3 months, then the update came out and now it just simply doesn't work. Browsers refresh and spin when trying to log into management console and there is no connectivity with devices or our site.

Sounds like your VM crashed. Simply reinstall from your backup? (If it was not local)

Also, where is the system hosted?

If Hosted by 3CX and running the free version, your instance is probably parked.
