I am looking for a Handset that is connected by USB to Laptop or PCs. The user will talk through the handset.

Not something I'm aware of.

Could they not just have a USB headset or a bluetooth ear piece?

Regardless, you'll be using the 3CX softphone with it.

If the OS picks it up, the drivers are in order, and therefore the microphone and speaker can be identified as two separate devices on the OS level, then it should work just fine. I do however recommend maybe testing one thoroughly before committing to a obtaining a large number of them just to be sure.

Did a quick Google search and came up with one on Amazon for about $60. Unfortunately, unless these are made for a specific application, like Skype (with extra features that are probably not going to function with 3CX), there is probably not a big demand for a USB handset, as opposed to a much more convenient to use, headset. I have seen suggestions, that a check with an Asian equivalent of Amazon, may provide some options.

As suggested, buy one and test it, as the quality of some of these, may be as low as the price.
