I have a customer that uses a custom software package and a Vertex Box that will sniff the SIP Packets and display the caller ID info bringing up the customer information. I am wondering if anyone has used a callerid.com Vertex box with 3CX, and how well it works. He has 2 offices, and I would be hosting a cloud 3CX system with a Local SBC at each location running on Windows 10 Pro. Here is a statement from callerid.com on what the requirements are for the box to work.

The Vertex is designed to work only with standard, non-encrypted, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol) signaling from the VoIP provider. Although most VoIP providers use unencrypted SIP, please verify with your provider before ordering.

Any Help would be appreciated.

Randy,

How does this company add value? I looked up your domain and you are in the USA, so you should be getting Caller ID information from your carrier. Why do you need this service?

This box talks to custom software, NAPA Tracs and when people call in to find out about there car, the person answering the call will get a pop up with that customers car information from the system.

Currently they use callerid.com's analog box. It is a splice on each of the POT lines coming into the current phone system.

From my perspective, the only value this tool provides (in the USA) is a screen pop since Caller ID information is already available. There are several ways to generate screen pops -- the server-side integration and the client-side integrations with 3CX Phone for Windows. I don't think you need this product.
