Solved 3CX - Using several trunks with different UDP ports

Hello.

I never found any information in manuals about that.

I have several trunks set up from one provider, on my 15.5 3CX Professional.
Some of trunks are provided with username\password authentication
And some are provided with IP address authentication. Because of internal changes SIP provider now requires me to use IP-based authentication on all of the trunks that they provide.

So it will be several trunks with the same Registar IP and the same authentication method now. I am pretty sure that i will have problems this way.

Is it possible to set different UDP SIP ports per each trunk (default is 5060). And having it like 5060 in trunk 1 settings / 5061 in trunk 2 settings and e.t.c? (provided that i allow those UDP ports out of my network, and provider sets the same ports accordingly from their side)

If it is possible, what kind of additional config do i need on 3CX side?

Hi,

Your PBX will listen for calls at a specific port defined during setup, and your provider will listen on whatever they have defined on their end (usually 5060). Just curious as to why you would think this would cause problems, are you worried about call identification?

The PBX has ways of call identification such that when they are set up correctly, you should not be facing any issues but if you give us some more info on your setup and how your provider works, we can at least see if this is something that can be dealt with

To summarize my post - providers requests are - different ports or different IP's (meaning my public IP) for each of the trunks that are supplied by them.


So, if i change Registar ports to 5060/5061/5062 e.t.c will that be enough for the provider?
So they will set communication to go through 5060/5061/5062 according to me.

But our PBX will only listen to 5060 (like it is stated in network settings)

That is why i am worried

If you will have a single registrar IP on your provider, can you use a single trunk profile and have all your DIDs under that one?

What problems do you think you will face?

If I understand correctly, you want to use multple trunks to the same provider, all of which now require IP Authentication. You are hoping to be able to change your port for each trunk to allow this to work. Is that about it?

The issue has been resolved.

I just had to combine everything to a single trunk.
