Sorry, this was discussed before, but there are some points unclear for me
https://www.3cx.com/community/threads/3cx-v15-patton-4114-remote-office.47450/

I understand remote installation of Patton Gateway is possible but not supported by 3cx.

What I want to know is -
1) should I set this up through 3cx SBC or without SBC.
2) if I should use SBC - should it be on Windows? or raspberry and linux would do as well?

Thank you

Set up using the Raspberry Pi will be fine. Setting up STUN on a Patton would be a bit of a nightmare and not secure.

So to get this working setup the SBC, generate a config file from 3CX and they using notepad ++ alter and amend the SIP registrar (local IP of 3CX) to that of the SBC. The Patton will then register via the SBC to 3CX down the tunnel.

The other (and supported option) is VPN.

Thank you very much.
Unfortunately, VPN is not an option because I am using 3cx hosted PBX express.

So, it seems like sbc is the way to go.

I have setup FXO, FXS & BRI/PRI (ISDN) Patton's via the SBC so I can confirm that it will work but again echo that it is "un-supported" by 3CX if you were to encounter any issues.
