3CX v16 EOL

Hi,
as announced v16 is finally EOL by end of November.

What exactly does this mean for self-hosted, on-premise instances of 3CX. I assume there´s no impact, or?

Due to various reasons we can not perform the upgrade before next year.

It means you should have updated last year. V18 has been out for a long time now.

You won't be able to activate it, so FQDN might stop working, SMTP, mobile apps, WebMeeting will definitely stop working, etc.

Hi,
well we are aware that we´re running an old version but there were / are dependencies which prevented us to update.
However, the FQDN is used internally only, SMTP is not used, mobile apps are not in use, WebMeeting is not in use.
Will the self-encrypt certificate roll-over still work?
What exactly is meant with you won´t be able to activate it? As long its already activated is shouldnt be an issue, right?

3CX systems periodically check that their license is still valid via our activation server.

Near expiration, the system will try to check and fail once the old activation servers are retired. What happens also depends on your license type, so please contact our customer support with your key to get more information: https://www.3cx.com/contact-form/
