Again, I am speaking of the RFC0000 Hold. Can't remember the number.
It's the parameter that permits a callee to know he's on HOLD. Search the template you will find it. It was at 1 before, now it is 0.
Don't tell me you can't find it, I find it pretty easily searching "hold" in the template.
Do you have an ETA on SIPS/SRTP? I know v16 is supposed to auto-provision Secure SIP.
I did a while ago. But not enough people uses Grandstream with 3CX (because only few models are supported and templates are PITA). So I can't get enough votes.
However, I can't believe we still CANNOT add custom parameters in config. 3CX should provide a base template with working SIP/network parameters and let us take care of the UI and preferences.
My weather can't be changed because you want everyone to use the supported template, which gives me "Los Angeles" when I am in "Montreal".
Hi Frederick,
As I already informed you, the parameters that are provisioning the phone functionality during the hold (they are 5) have never been changed since the "
grandstream.ph.xml" provisioning template was added into the build.
If you can "
find it pretty easily searching "hold" in the template", why you are not telling me the exact name of that parameter?
However, using your last description, I think, I found the parameter that you mentioned in your post. Is it the
RFC2543 Hold parameter (P26062 value)? If so, here is it in V15.5 SP6 and V16 beta1:

As you can see they are the same and set to 0.
Even more, I'm the person who is responsible to add, modify, update and delete the phone provisioning templates from the 3CX Phone System and I can tell you with 100% sure that the "hold functionality parameters" have never been changed in the "
grandstream.ph.xml" provisioning template.
Why these parameters have existed values? It's a question to the Grandstream. The phone manufacturer decided to use these values, not 3CX.
I think, you manually modified that parameter in V15.5 template and used that customized template to provision your phones. Again, 3CX never had the P26062 value set to 1.
The Secure SIP and SRTP provisioning are still under the construction and we have no ETA for these features yet.
About the number of votes and custom templates.
According to the number of the questions and requests that we are receiving about the Grandstream phones, we have enough users to vote for the ideas about the Grandstream phones

Who told you that you "
CANNOT add custom parameters in config"? Why you are not using the custom templates functionality? Yes, they would be marked as unsupported (because we can't trust to the modifications that customers will do), but if these custom values are so important for you, I think, you can ignore the red markers in 3CX Management Console
About the weather.
The weather on Grandstream phones updates according to your location and we have no idea why you see "Los Angeles" when you are in "Montreal". I think, you need to forward this question to your Internet Service Provider or directly to Grandstream. 3CX is not changing the default behavior of the phone here.
