Hi All,

need some urgent suggestions, i have a brand new install, win10 64 bit, 3CX V16, all phones show up and can be assigned to extensions, but wont provision. so far i have done this.

  1. upgrade firmware to latest for phones.
  2. Windows firewall is off.
  3. DHCP option 66 provisoned.
  4. DHCP opt 60 as well.
  5. Tried manual provisioning. not working.

I am running out of ideas and have no support left. any help would be appreciated.

cheers

Hi when you say:
  1. phone FW to latest , is it latest supported by 3CX?
  2. your phones are completely new, never been used in STUN before?
  3. on dashboard everything is green?
  4. did you run fierwall checker, did it pass?

HI Mate thannks for your reply
1. i am using the orginal FW on 3 phones and updated on 1 phone, no luck
2, phones are in the same lan, so not using in stun provisioning via LAN.
  1. Dash is all green.
  2. Firechecker has issues regarding 5060, but i can fix that, its my firewall.

Sorry but i was not very clear earlier, PBX is on a LAN with 2 cards, one goes to trunk provider, all provision is on the LAN, i can see all the phones but they just wont provision.

you use 3CX with 2 nic?

yes i am following the 3cx guide on using 2 nics with wiindows. the trunk is connected. still the phones are to be provisioned through the LAN, i can see the new phones but wont provision :(

Are you using PNP provisioning?

Are these brand new phones?

On the Phone Provisioning Page, is the correct 'Select Interface' selected for the lan card ?

Hi Yes, i am using PNP and the correct LAN as well, phone are absolutely new.

Are you using this firmware?

Did you ever try STUN provisioning before using PNP with these phones?

no. just pnp. tried to use the url for auto config too, but no luck. could it be V16? sould i downgrade?

I doubt it's V16 or we would have had reports all over the board over the last few weeks.

You didn't say whether or not you were on the firmware I posted.

When you check the provisioning link for the phones is the url base an IP address or FQDN? If FQDN have you validated that the phone can do DNS lookups for that address?

When you pick a phone from the list and assign it to an extension, does the phone later have a provisioning URL in it or does it remain empty?

i will answer both your questions :), the URL base is an ip Address, and to answer John there there is provisioning URL, i have copied that and logged in to the phone and used to auto provision, but it gives and error which say "skipped update" and goes back to it screen.

ok i will try that tomorrow

Hi All,

I have tried adding the mac address.cfg, bot Stun and LAN, no luck, trunk is up, i can call the numb er goes straight to VM, i can leave a VM as well. but phones refuse to provision, any ideas? i am running out of them :(

So you were not able to download the .cfg file from the phones location?

That would explain why the provisioning fails in this case since they cannot download the file at all, and that should be the next thing you need to investigate.

i think i sot of know, when i paste ther url in Chrome it comes up with 403 forbidden. and on the bottom it says nginx, have you seen this before, should there be a config file display there, thanks for your help :)

So for example when I use this URL on my PBX: http://10.32.0.67:5000/provisioning/qrozcfo78a/0016563483A2.cfg

I will not get forbidden, but I will get a file downloaded called 0016563483A2.cfg

This is specifically for a Yealink that is configured as a LAN phone, where the PBX and phone share the same network.

in my case, when i hit the URL it just comes up with a 403 forbidden error, Yealink is setup as a LAN phone, what do you suggest? should i reinstall 3cx? Maybe V15 just to make sure it works?
