Hi, any guess as to when the v20 u8 Final will be available? In production we're on v20 u6 (20.0.6.724) and want to update to u8 Final in our lab before upgrading in production. Since we need to be on u7 + hotfix before updating to u8, we want to combine both updates so we only have one outage window.

Also, I've seen mention of u9 - any timeframes for that?

While most software companies don't like to answer questions like that for fear of over promising and under delivering.
If you view the full change log https://www.3cx.com/blog/change-log/phone-system-change-log-v20/ you could reasonably deduce it will be 4-6 months based on past history depending on complexity and issues encountered along the development path.

Re: the shared voicemail for a ring group, currently it makes a copy of the message in everyone's voicemail. It is marked on all as "heard by..." if someone listens to it, which is great. After that, other actions are not sync'd...marking it unheard, deleting it, etc. Those actions would be helpful in certain situations, such as, we have a phone in our lab and the message waiting light there would work if its voicemail was enabled, but the voicemail box would eventually fill up if no one empties it. A per-user voicemail retention setting could help address that, also. Just thinking out loud.
