Hi All

I have recently upgraded to 15.5 on Linux Debian.

We have experienced occasional services crashing with no alerts and required a manual restart.

Any one else affected by this?

Jul 4 16:24:38 WestRec-3CX kernel: [18445.496419] 3CXPhoneSystem[1685]: segfault at 100000029 ip 00007f7b1690ee20 sp 00007f7 b027f55e0 error 4 in libdum-1.10.so[7f7b1685d000+13c000]

In my case OS killed 3CX services because of memory leak ( probably faulty .net library ). Observe if your services are taking more and more RAM as time passes. I didn't find any solution and reinstalled system on Windows.

Yeah its strange isn't it. I am starting to head that is a memory problem.

Doesn't appear to affect VMware instances as often. Hyper-V seems to crash constantly

Hyper-V Server 2016 with 3CX Debian was running seamless as long as I tested it on this server.
Please have a look at: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/wi.../supported-debian-virtual-machines-on-hyper-v

Since the 3CX Debian is running 8.8 (cat /etc/debian_version) I didn't do any modifications at all. It's fully supported the way it is.
I have not tested with versions before Server 2016 though but again - 2016 and Debian 3CX was running flawless.

Doesn't Hyper-V 2016 have more support for Linux as well?

I am hesitant to migrate clients to 2016 as its not quite mature yet.

As for your 3CX Debian instance, did you build using the ISO for build it from scratch?

Do you also just restore from a backup or rebuild the entire system again.

At least according to the linked document the features are identical for Debian 8.8 on Server 2012 R2 and Server 2016.
I migrated my whole Datacenter with multiple Hyper-V hosts to 2016 so I personally consider it mature enough. :) No Server 2016 related issues so far, no regret so far.
And production checkpoints, nested virtualization, container support, Linux secure boot, hot add memory, host resource protection and a few more made it easy for me to decide for the upgrade.

I built it from scratch using the ISO provided by 3CX.
