Hello - I am a 3cx partner we typically host 3cx system in our data center, with digital ocean, or use 3cx hosting - we avoid doing on-prem customer hosting so we can control the systems of course. We port customer numbers to Vox or other preferred 3cx sip provides and life is good running the 3cx supported way.

We have some customers that have local SIP provided by the local telco and the customer is in long term contract. We then have to wait to sell a phone system until we can get rid of this.
instead -
We could setup a 3cx on-prem which is not ideal -
or is there a way I can still host the 3cx offsite and then install a gateway device on prem that can connect to the local SIP lines? (We can do Gateways for PSTN and PRI just fine, not sure about SIP??)

I'm sure this not supported, just looking for possible options
Then once their contract is up - I can port the lines and remove this.
We also have local Telcoms that are exempt from porting in Iowa - in this case we can never move the lines which is another issue.

Yes in the case of a local issue, we lose the lines of course I get that.

Short and simple, no.

The PBX and any gateways MUST be on the same network. And any CPE device providing SIP services MUST also be on the same network.
