3CX with Telstra Business SIP

Hi All,

We are looking at using Telstra Business SIP with 3CX. It seems that our only option is On Premise but I assume there are some Australian Data Centres where we could install the Telstra NTU and our 3CX system. Has anyone done this? Please advise.

Yep, we have heaps of them in the DC! No problems at all.

It seems that our only option is On Premise

We have sites all over the world (including several in Australia) and the only thing that would dictate the above is local regulation laws, I can tell you from experience that countries such as India, Dubai and Singapore (provider dependent) must have on premise solutions by law however Australia does not.

In fact I believe all of our sites down under are hosted bar one (but we use Twilio since they now support number porting for Australia).

Looking at this guide: https://www.3cx.com/docs/telstra-australian-sip-trunk/ this looks to be something the provider stipulates so I would look at other provider options if I were you.

We have our 3CX hosted in a Datacentre and use Telstra SIP.

You do not need an NTU as you Port the phone numbers/Dids to Telstra TIPT which then route it to your 3CX instance. Telstra are the PSTN termination point for you.
