Hi 3CX,
Please note that 3CXDesktopApp-18.9.933.msi installer is not working out of the box
When one click on Windows icon in the Webclient, then click on download and install.... and when you start installing it, you will get an error from Windows Installer "This installation package could not be opened. Contact the application vendor to verify that this is valid Windows Installer package".
The issue is that there is no Digital Signatures inside .msi package (check the attachment for comparison )
To fix this, one needs to find and get from somewhere the latest .msi (in our example it was 3CXDesktop-App-18.8.508.msi) which contain Digital Signatures, install that one, and then update to latest.
I don't know if there's specific reason for Digital Signature to appear missing and if there is sort of versioning or verification etc.
but please make our life easier to have it either in d'a release notes or add some sort of deployment check
I hope i made someones life easier rather then spending 2 hours to check what's wrong with the installer.
