I am running a 3CX Enterprise PBX on a VMWare vritual machine, running Windows 2012 R2, 16GB RAM, 3CX version 15.5.15502, with appox 350 Polycom VVX 410 desk phones/extensions. The phone system runs fine except that the 3CXPhoneSystem.exe process is using about 13.5GB of RAM Memory. CPU time hovers around 1-5%. I don't notice any issues at all. No errors in any logs. Does anyone know why it's using so much RAM? If I allocated more, will it just take it as well? Anyone else experience this? If so, did you fix it or just live with it?

Thanks!

Not using call recording. I have 2 CPUs and 16GB RAM on a 128 license.. It's a little better today. Down to 12.4GB from 13.5GB last night. How much RAM does your process take?

Hello @TPR3CX

Do you have any BLF keys on the VVX devices? Also are there any 3CX clients running on the system or only IP phones?

Hello @TPR3CX

Yes we do. We have 2 BLF keys for each extension. We have IP phones and users also use the 3CX Windows and smartphone apps. We have about 375 extensions.

On a side note, our users like 3CX over our previous phone system.

Although your device volume is significant the amount of ram used seems high. Of course without knowing exactly what is running on the server and the amount of traffic of the system i cannot say for sure if this is an issue or not. For this reason i would recommend creating a ticket with our support department so they can take a detail look into the system and determine if this is normal usage for your system or not.

13GB seems to be even in your config excessive...

You might contact your 3CX Partner Clarity about this.
Just one quick question. Do you have SpeedDials configured on the VVX devices?

Limitations
Note that these phones can not be used from a remote location or in combination with a 3CX in the cloud without the 3CX SBC.
Known limitations of Polycom VVX 101, 201, 300, 301, 311, 400, 401, 410, 411, 500, 501, 600 & 601 are:
  1. No PnP Support
  2. No STUN Support
  3. No Full CTI Support (Make Call Only)
  4. Manual DST Support
  5. Video possible but not support can be given on this function
  6. Distinctive Ringing works only for numbers not listed in directory
  7. No Speed Dial (including Profile and Queue status) or Shared Parking function keys
This can cause something like what you see, as Polycom devices Subscribe for speed dials which normally is used to monitor extensions and with this flood constantly the PBX with requests which are not extensions...

I do not have speed dials configured. The only thing I have configured on the phones/extensions are two BLF keys for login and logout of queues. The system is high again. 14GBs of RAM but barely any CPU time and the system seems fine.

okey, they are the same as speed dials as they do not subscribe for a feature, they just dial a number.
Queue Status is the term in the limitation list.

If you remove them and train the users to just dial them, or even better to use the web client ;-), you should see after a service restart a very moderate RAM usage.

Sorry for late response. I removed the Q:IN/OUT BLF keys on all my phones and it fixed it without even having to restart the services. Thanks!
