404 on provisioning URL

Hi guys,

So far, i love 3cx, the problem i have encountered has always been the phones and the equipment i have been asked to use...

So far i have dealt with call flow problems, and got to the bottom of them, not so hard when my logic kicked in....

• 3CX Version, 16.0.1078
• Server OS, Debian 9
• Is the 3CX Server Hosted and where? self-hosted locally
• Provisioning Method: Local
• Has the Firewall Checker passed: YES
• Are custom Phone Templates being used: NO

the phones i have been given are as follows and all need to be setup:

Cisco 7906 - i have seen the threads about this but no-one has posted any configurations currently
Cisco 7941 - UNABLE to download the provisioning file (https://prnt.sc/w7ycnb)
Cisco 7940 - unable to download the provisioning file (https://prnt.sc/w7ycnb)

And my very fav -
the mitel 6920, if anyone has the SIP firmware for this i would happily pay if this can be configured with 3cx

If your time is worth anything, toss the phones and get some supported phones.

we are mainly using the software phones on our mobiles, i wish my budget would let me get supported phones. ive struggled to get these.

Given that you are using phones the system is not aware of, it's not strange that the file will not download. We only support the following (as legacy): https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/cisco-7940g-7960g/

You could look at getting some Fanvil X3U or X4U series https://www.3cx.com/sip-phones/

Hi John,

After much tinkering and alot of determination, i have found that thr 7906 works fine, (with some minor tweaks to the config)

my now to get the mitel 6920's to work, found the sip firmware for it just a case of somehow getting it to work.as the phone makes outgoing, cant take incomming ... what confuses me, if anyone has any old 7906's laying about, they are not dead yet!
