On one of our instances, we are getting 404 when trying to download a call recording from the call report.

Did someone had this before?

Regards

this can happen when you moved the recordings after the call was logged or the file was deleted.
V16 got smarter about the "relocation" of files and report-downloads...

Great, Yes we have the call recordings on a different location.

Although they can be downloaded from the recordings section, but not from the call recordings. (link seems to be different).

Any fix for this?

the links where written in the call report as a static link at the time the call log was written.
Once you move the recordings after the static link points to nowhere --> V16 Beta 1 has this been addressed and much more usability on recordings (including search!)

Hi,
I think I miss explained.

The call report has just been generated and still I have this 404 when trying to download the recording.

Any idea why this is happening? Any way of fixing it?

u see the file name which is been tied to load. You shall find this file on the disc of the server in your defined recording path. If you dont see it there anymore, then it was deleted!

The files are there, they have not been deleted from the server.

Two points to consider:

1. If you notice on your reports there are two ▶ links for each recording, the first one contains an IP based link, the second one has a FQDN based link. Depending on what pc and what location you are opening the report from, the first link might not work, but the second one should work.

2. Also as Stefan pointed out, the link to the recording is written at the time the call is made (not at the time the report is generated).

We do not have two links, although this we noticed that in fact the files are not there.

This despite the fact we have all extensions recording and the option to delete recordings after a few days is not set.

Can you please help?

Regards

if the file is not where it should be... someone made it disappear...
