I have Vitelity and its working fine for inbound and out. Try this:

in Manage Gateways & Providers >> Vitelity >> Registration Settings
"Which IP to use in 'Contact' field for registration:"
Choose 'Specified IP' 64.2.142.30:5060 (instead of External:Stun resolved)

Also, in >> Source Identification add this entry:
radio button 'Match Any Fields'
SIP Field = 'Contact: Host Part'
Value = 'Custom Field'
Custom Value = '64.2.142.30:5060'

our servers are on Service Pack 2, just in case you did not know about a later Service Pack available

I don't know that editing the provider settings is going to help, when there is no indication in the logs that any registration is being attempted.

I just uninstalled v5 and reinstalled v3.1, and it works without any hassles. I created a simple extension, then added the vitelity line with the basic info, and it's all fine.

I don't understand why v5 can't do the same?? Doesn't make any sense - should be as simple or simpler, yet it's far more difficult to get working.

I guess I'll stick with 3.1 or go with a hosted solution for now - far too much time spent wrangling with v5.

It won't register because of your stun issues. By hardcoding the IP that should clear it up.

I think 3CX wanted to make V5 more flexible and powerfull, but really confused all of use who started with V3 and thought, wow, this is simple.

I think things will get sorted out eventually, but I agree, its very frustrating for now especially since V3 is working fine for most. I spent a lot of time lurking here in the forums before I got my Vitelity stuff working.

I'm trying to get Vitelity to work. Is that 64.2.142.30 address unique to Vitelity or to your system?

Is there any way you could post the rest of your Vitelity setup. I'm having limited success so far.

Thanks,

Richard

That is the IP for dns entry inbound4.vitelity.com which is what I was given by vitelity as an IP. Also make sure that :5060 is added to the end of that.

I am not Nat'ed. NAT seems to be a big issue for a lot of people and thats why they can't resolve addresses via STUN.

I am going to be moving my pbx to a NAT'ed setup this weekend so I can see what kind of problems folks are having and try to assist.
