Due to economic circumstances I may be forced to suspend maintenance on my 8SC Pro license.
I understand that this will automatically downgrade to a "Standard" license. Since we do not use any of the Call Center features, Office 365 or CRM integrations and our web conferencing is never more that 10-15 people this should be fine.
It is not clear though what exactly will change. Since 8SC Standard is now considered "Free" and we will not pay annual subscription, do we still retain FQDN, SMTP, iOS apps, and webconferencing?
Does anything need to be re-installed to keep working?
Thanks for any guidance on this topic!

I would make sure you are on v16 before the lapse but otherwise after the grace period (60 days I think from expiration) it should convert to the 'free' license which would be standard. Standard features are listed here:

I am on v16.
The only things that seem like an issue are the following:

  • Voicemail Transcription
  • Custom FQDN
  • Custom SMTP Server
  • and Webconference Dial-in (which I have never been able to get to work)
I used to use a lightweight SMTP server for 3CX emails which I can re-install.
Does anyone know what is involved in replacing the FQDN? Does that require a re-install?
