Hi Guys
I am trying to implement below.
call comes into DID, it needs to play announcement that says press 1 for this , 2 for this and so on,
op1, sends call to ext202
op2 sends call to ext201
op3 sends call to a queue 801

now if call is not answered in the queue or if its out of office hours we need to play a custom greeting and then send voicemail recording to a user by email (email ID of user with ext 201)

I can do all above using digital receptionist and so on, but I am stuck on voicemail to email bit where if I create a dummy extension for this purpose then I can't re-use the email ID from extension 201 again ,
how do you handle this with 3cx,

Regards
Harry

Use Plus Addressing.

"Theuser+voicemail@yourdomain"
"Theuser@yourdomain"

Unique and both go to the same place.

Hi @ConceptsWeb thanks and yea that is something I am aware of but I was looking for some better way to handle this within PBX instead of making changes to emails for client on their MS365 and so on. but yea if there is no other way then I will do as you suggested.

we use other pbx's where we can just type in any email for voicemail to email functions in IVRs or so on.

No need for any changes in M365. It's enabled by default.

And unique email has a reason for it.

ah great on no need to add Alias to MS 365 mailboxes.

I know unique email for extension is good like any other secure systems, but I was looking for something where we don't have to create dummy extensions for such things and possibilities of email voicemail recordings out direct.

anyway all sorted. thanks
