Ability to set my Caller ID for Outbound Calls, specifically for calls to 911.

Right now, I can not program any DID's except the main number as an Outbound Caller ID in case of circumstances to call 911.

This thread was started 10/2015 and marked in progress 8/2017 and it is 3/2018 and still without for something as critical as E911?

How does a phone system exist today that can not properly or efficiently handle E911.
E911 is a legal compliance issue.

Not avaliable in the new 15.5 SP4.

More and more customers with this need.

Any prevision to have this?

Hi,

i don´t understand either.
Today i have an customer which needs the ability to have more numbers on a Foreign SIP-Account.
The outbound Caller-ID has been set with the own Country Number, so no way to manage this.
I have to tell him, that 3CX can´t manage at this time, i´m so sorry for must saying it.

Bye
Timm

Is this actually "In Progress"? If this was a completely free PBX, I'd expect roll out of requested features to take some time, but it's not. Registering a second Trunk doesn't seem like it needs to be a necessary workaround.

bump. New to 3cx but i am in need of this as well.
Multiple CID controlled by prefix on a single trunk.

Another vote for this please - this is really important for companies that run lots of different brands with the same staff, they need to be able to call out as one of many different companies

We need a feature like this.

This is a friendly reminder but I'm a bit confused.

"Caller ID per outbound rule is in progress for V15" was announced 15 april 2016
"Better outbound call ID configuration is in progress" was re-announced on 2 of aug 2017

In the mean time we are version 15.5 SP4 and still no sign.

Is this actually "in progress" or is there an estimation in which release we will see this feature? This has been on the radar for 2 years for now.

it seams that is very hard to implement this....

+1

Please add this feature ASAP, as I have a customer project who needs the ability to change outoing number in a more flexible way than is currently supported by latest 3CX.

Regards,
Christian

Agree this needs to be added ASAP, Currently the only way of doing this would be to setup another trunk and have the calls routed down the new Trunk

Our add-on is released now: https://www.voiptools.com/product/3cx-caller-id-new While 3CX will probably at some point provide some ability to control your outbound caller ID, I am not sure they will give individual agents the ability to change their caller ID with the level of flexibility, and ease of our add-on. But 3CX and VoIPTools often see the same challenges so who knows, Regardless, if you need a solution today, it's available.

hmm good soltion ... but why cant 3cx do this?

is it not possible to create an outbound rule that sets the CLI based on a prefix & pattern match ?

Maybe I'm a bit confused as to what is being asked for here, but I have one 3CX server on which I have multiple customers (residential users who use my internet service). Each customer has their own DID number and each one properly sends their DID number as the Outbound Caller ID.

What am I missing here?

I have a business. I have 100 users each with a DID. To register each DID for 911 emergency to my work address will cost $1.25 / month for each number. So, $125 month.
If I can assign an outbound number to the outbound rule called 911 Emergency, then I only need to pay for 1 911 assignment - and still use the Extension Assigned DID for normal outbound calling.
If you start at the top of this thread, I think the concept is quite clear.
