Actions whilst on hold

Hi all,

is there a way to allow callers to take actions whilst they are on hold? For example to go back to another extension or go directly to voice mail?

No, there are no options for customers who are on hold.

If the caller is on Hold in a Digital receptionist or a Queue then the caller has some options but if the caller is on Hold by an extension or is located in a shared parking then there are no options available.

After I posted I thought I probably should have clarified what was meant by "hold". As YiannisH_3CX mentions if you are "waiting" in a queue (not really the same thing as "hold") then you can offer the caller the option to leave a message or request a callback. But if the caller has been placed on "hold" using the hold button on the phone, or transferred to a parking location, the caller doesn't have any options but to wait or hang up.
