Hello,

I need help with making sure our SPC token is passed in our call header when the call is initiated. I have added the value as:
<field name="X-SPC-Token" value="value of tokenkey"></field>
I took a PCAP and I not seeing the token value being passed. Can someone help us as we would like to sign our own calls.

I wasted a ticket with 3CX support, and they say it has to be added by the SIP provider. My provider is telling me we need to add it. Other articles I have read suggest this can be added to the XML that makes up the trunk in 3CX.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Best regards,

Noah

Please note that 3CX does not support adding arbitrary custom SIP headers via the SIP trunk XML template. Adding:

<field name="X-SPC-Token" ...>

will not result in an X-SPC-Token header being included in the outbound INVITE.

The XML provider template can modify supported SIP trunk parameters and predefined SIP fields, but it cannot be used to introduce an arbitrary SIP header such as X-SPC-Token.

Additionally, for STIR/SHAKEN, the SPC token is typically used to obtain the STI certificate and is not passed as a static header with each SIP call. The originating signing service generates the per-call PASSporT and inserts it into the SIP Identity header.

If your provider requires an X-SPC-Token proprietary header or expects you to perform STIR/SHAKEN signing yourself, this must be implemented by the SIP provider or by an external STIR/SHAKEN signing service or SBC placed in the signalling path. 3CX does not currently provide functionality to generate and insert the STIR/SHAKEN Identity header using your SPC credentials.

Thanks Charles

Additionally, it looks like you posted a real SPC/JWT credential rather than an example. I recommend editing your post and removing it if this isn't an example.
