Advice on best options

Hello all,

We have been installing 3cx systems for a number of years, but I would like to call upon some of the experiences of the guys here.

Generally we have been installing 3cx in house, on a physical or virtual machine, which works great for one or two offices.

However, I am proposing a 3cx system for a new client. They have 7 offices over the UK, with 200 users. So its a big install for what we are used to.

Now, they want a system which is robust, and where each office can work independently (If one office loses internet other offices can still work), where they can call everyone internally and manage all users from one console.

My instant reaction was to go hosted. Maybe using PBX express, however. I have never used this, I have never hosted with AWS or Google.... Does anyone have any experience with these? I tried to get a quote from google for a hosted server, but the pricing is so confusing, and the number I got was £460 a month.. That seems a little excessive....

I'm really asking for your experiences or recommendations please.

I would host your system on one of the platform providers: https://www.3cx.com/docs/cloud-pbx-providers/

I believe lightsail are the best prices. The only other question then is how many endpoints per site:

• SBC = upto 50 phones per SBC.
• Anything above I would recommend a VPN.
• STUN - 1 or 2 phones only.

Thanks, the biggest site is 170 endpoints. So it will need to be a VPN. Have you used Lightsail? Is there an option for a site to site VPN.

Ive used AWS and Virtual 1, both offer VPN setup, normally in the form of a software firewall - very easy to setup.
