The receptionist agent greets with announcing the company name. It looks like this value is coming from the company_name parameter which in this case is the first part of our FQDN.
I would like to replace this with something more useful.
I edited the value for this variable in the parameters section and expanded it to be what I wanted the agent to say.
I've tried doing the Knowledge base refresh, restarting the AI service, and rebooting the pbx. The agent is still using the original short FQDN piece in its greeting.
Can someone put me on the right path here please.
I imagine I could edit the script and change the company_name variable to be the new text I want - it's just that didn't seem to make sense if there is a value somewhere assigned to the variable.
Thanks.

In the OpenAI options in the AI section... company name and description are there.

Thank you.

I'd like to know if we can pass the Department of the Digital Receptionist to an AI Receptionist so it can do Call by Name using a filter for extensions that are a members of that department. If no match is found, the caller might be able to search the entire company or return the Digital Receptionist they started from.

In general the AI agent does not have knowledge of the source Department of a call.

If it's a Return to Receptionist (no global search), just limit the AI Agent (multiple agents for multiple departments) to that department, and prompt it to transfer to receptionist if no match is found.
If the search is to be global straight away, you just need to make sure the AI Agent has the right view permissions/belongs to all departments.

For a Department then expanded Global search (Look for John Smith in sales, and if not found only then search for John Smith company wide) - you can give prompts to ask it to sort in that way (multiple agents for multiple departments), but it will probably not be 100%. You might also chain AI agents with different views together, but then user experience might not be as smooth.

Thanks for confirming on source Department knowledge. We're working on a large system with dozens of departments, and I was hoping to have on AI Receptionist prompt to configure and maintain. I'll proceed with what we have access to now.
