Hello

We are using 3CX SMTP servers to let all our 3CX instances send us alerts by Email.
We get all alerts on an address like [email protected]

Since upgrade from v18 to v20, we lost a vital information : the FQDN of the server who sent the alert

For instance with v18 we had Email alerts with subject like "You tried to call a blocked country - ourfqdn.3cx.fr"
So with the subject we knew which server was
(and inside the body of the Email there was nothing telling us which server sent the alert, but at least we had it in the subject)

And NOW, since upgrade to v20, Email subjects using 3CX SMTP servers are all like "System wide: A call has been placed to a blocked country"
So no way to know which server sent the alert (and nothing more in the body of the message)

If we just change the SMTP to our own SMTP servers, without changing anything else, the same alert becomes "DEFAULT: A call has been placed to a blocked country"
Which we quickly understood that "DEFAULT" is the Department name, so we renamed it to contain our customer name so at least we can understand which server sent the alert.

So because of this "simple" issue, it means we should now use our own SMTP servers for all our instances.

With 3CX SMTP servers, is it possible to get more precise Email alerts and replace "System wide" by the Department name, or add the FQDN somewhere in the alerts?

Thanks !

Can you please add this value in the email template description and make a test?

Which template?
So since the messages are different when using our own SMTP servers, it means there are different templates when it's 3CX SMTP servers vs our own SMTPs ?

You mentioned for the blocked country template.
If you add it there does it apply?

OK but this was only an example, I suppose we lost it in many other places I don't know for now.
Instead of trying to find manually all templates where we lost the information, is it possible to have the same alerts when using your SMTPs than ours? It makes it more difficult to maintain since we'll have to find all the templates, modify them manually on all instances...
I like to let the maximum settings by default so it does not add extra work on our shoulders
