Algo 8180 Keeps Ringing

Ive provisioned the Algo and 3CX see's it fine the problem is when a ringing phone is answered the Algo just keeps ringing, has anyone got the Algo 8180 SIP Alerter working with 3CX

I logged a ticket with Algo about phantom calls on these devices.

Their reply is:

Thanks for your email. There are no known issues causing a ring not end. An active ring event will end when the phone system send a Cancel message or the Ring Limit is reached (default is “No Limit” – Basic Settings -> Ring).

I suggest enabling Keep-alive, under Advanced Settings -> Advanced SIP. Set it to “Double CRLF” and save the settings. Make sure to activate it on all 8180s.

On a side note, these devices work best on a local LAN environment. In saying that I have my registered through an SBC up to a hosted VPS and seem to work great. Set the call server to be the SBC.

Some key points.:

• 
  
• Disable G722 for the codec.
• Register pager and ringer on two separate extns.
• Register the unit via an SBC if 3CX isnt on premise.
• Update to latest firmware.
• Enable CRLF Keep alive.
