Allow One Phone to Answer Multiple Calls from a Ring Group

Here's what I am trying to do, please help me to accomplish this...

Call comes into the system, we have 2 phones setup that we have in a ring group, they are both at the same desk, one is a Fanvil X210 and the other is a Yealink Cordless. We want them to both ring at the same time when the call comes in but if someone is on one of the phones and a second caller calls into the ring group, we would like to have another line key on the phone light up so that they could answer that call too, similar to how it works when multiple people call someone's extension (like call waiting).

If nobody answers the phone call from the ring group we would like the call to ring every phone in the office, finally if nobody answers that the call would be forwarded to an external numter (answering service).

I have tried so many different ways to accomplish this but I cannot get the multiple calls to come through on the 2 phones in a group.

Can someone PLEASE help me with this!!!

Having call waiting in the ring group is not supported. Phones in a ring group will only ring if they are available. This is mentioned in our academy section about ring groups. If you want callers to wait then use a Queue.

The rest of your setup is easy. Just create another ring group with all other phones as members and add the ring group as the destination if no answer of the original ring group.
In the second ring group set the destination if no answer to "Forward to outside number" and add the number you want calls to be forwarded to.

My 2 cents answer, when you call somewhere your first quality feeling is when callee pick up in shortest time, not when you are forwarded on multiples phones and finally got not answer or receiving an answer from someone with no knowlegde about your asking.

So IMO don't try to make a very complex scenario because caller will probably hang up before reaching the end

It should also be noted that with ring groups, the provider is still waiting for you to answer the call.

If the call spends too much looping around the ring group, the provider will eventually timeout and send a "busy" to the caller.

It may not just be the provider that drops the call if it isn't answered in a timely manner. My voicemail kicks in after about 6 or 7 rings, depending on the origination. A lot of people that have never called me before, have later commented..."why don't you have voicemail?!" I explain that I do, but it takes a while to answer.

Most people seem to expect a phone to be answered after 5 or 6 rings, if not sooner, or they will give up. If you are allowing the call to ring, at least 3 times each, at a couple of internal destinations, the caller may hang up before the call is answered by an external service, if there are a few additional "rings" added to that.
