Another beginner question - number of Sip Trunks and incoming numbers

Hi again,
I am still going through the help (the German help, of course) and it says in the datasheet "maximum 10 users" and "Number of Sip Trunks </= 6". Ok, we have a Sipt Trunk with 2 voice channels and 2 numbers but in the German forum they wrote that this is a bit of misunderstanding and only one number can be reached from outside.

There are many people thinking that the can be reached from more than one number but it seems not to be true.

So my question is it possible to be reached from outside with 2 numbers or only one.

2 channels on the trunk means 2 active calls. The numbers (also called DIDs) have nothing to do with the amount of calls.

It might be easier to explain what you're trying to do, as it's not super obvious (probably lost in translation.)

Depends on how you route each number. They can be assigned directly to extensions, or go to a ring group and then the number would ring all users of that group. You can also use IVRs.

I think the <=6 you are seeing is the number of preferred+supported SIP providers, which is required for Free:

This is not the point of the post. The user mught upgrade to SMB to have multiple DIDs. They just wanna know about routing.

My wish was to assign the number directly to extensions, so that you can call 1234 and end up with person A, and if you call 5678 you end up with person B. But I think @SteveITS gave the answer. Thank you all again and have a good weekend

You can do that. Just upgrade to SMB (the paid hosted one), and you'll be able to use more than 1 DID, and route them to each extension.

Yes the limitation is in the Free version.
