Yes we have requests for this change (DID name before CID) and we are going to add it for Version 8

Also We are working to make the call assistant show this DID name information. This will also be for Version 8.

So are you saying that the 3CX VoIP client is no longer supported? We have about 25 staff all using the 3CX VoIP client and use the extensions ALL THE TIME! That is a major "PBX feature" and if you are going to drop that then we could just go back to using x-lite and setup all the extensions, groups etc with our VoIP provider.

The Voip Client has been Discontinued, this is because we now have the new call assistant.
In the future we are going to integrate the call assistant and the voip client together, so in a couple of months time you will still have 1 application.
X-Lite is irrelevant in this conversation because Xlite doesn't show you the presence details.

What a waste of $2000 buying 3CX.......

The Voip Phone is Free, the voip client is also free.
You can use the Voip Client and the only difference will be that there will be no updates to it.
This is done for management purposes.

Is there any way to also make the voipphone and call assistant work on Vista/XP home ? this would be a huge help for us and our support agents who work from home

There is no reason why Voip Phone and call assistant shouldn't work on Vista or XP home editions.

Why - Are you having problems? These are client applications - you can install them on anything that is windows based. We make a restriction ONLY for the 3CX Phone System PBX. That definitely can't be installed on a Home edition OS. It is understandable why as well.

Now, how to DISABLE it or appending it AFTER the display name/number? Which param to add?
