ARM64 Support for 3CX PBX

With the likes of the current energy crisis and more countries trying to be much more efficienct with their energy consumption, more and more companies are moving their hosted services on to ARM64 architecture. We have done so with some of our SIP trunking servers and have noticed a massive cost savings (40%) by utilising this architecture which runs just as good (if not, better). Also Apple have been using their ARM SOCs in their macs now for some time, and they have proven that ARM does work very well.

3CX did have support for ARM at one point, albeit only on Raspberry Pi. The only support we have now on ARM is for the 3CX SBCs, which works incredibly well.

I believe that 3CX PBX should be brought to full ARM support. This would most likely benefit yourselves on your StartUP/hosted solutions, and would also most likely benefit most of your customer base too. With more and more people needing to move to hosted/cloud services, if support for ARM64 was there then they could easily spin up an ARM64 image in big name providers such as AWS, Azure and Google Cloud.

Some benefits to ARM:

• Energy efficiency - As mentioned, it is much more efficient than the likes of X86/64. This would allow consumers who are eco-concious to lower their carbon footprint.
• Money saving - We have found out from first-hand experience that we have saved a lot of money using ARM64 where possible. This will benefit yourselves, partners and end-users.
• Performance - To add to its efficiency, we have seen that it can be more powerful than an equivilantly-specced X86/64 architecture. This would mean that you could possibly reduce resource allocation on each VM, and be able to run more VMs per hypervisor.

I have seen posts on this from many years ago that are now closed, but back then ARM wasn't as prevelant. I am hoping that this can be considered and brought in to production.
