ATA HT802 Remote Configuration for Google Cloud Hosted 3cx

Just wanted to confirm that I should be able to configure a Grandstream HT802 ATA for a client that needs some basic analog phone functionality at one remote site and a fax at another? I've read some conflicting posts but I believe the last word was it is possible and supported?

We have an SBC at the site with the fax machine, but the other location does not have anything currently and the only device will be one analog cordless phone.

I was hoping not to have to add an SBC and I thought I read a post last month about a remote ATA setup without SBC or VPN but my swiss cheese brain could be wrong.

We may end up and just replace the analog phone with a voip phone and just foward the ports directly to it.

Just want to point out that configuring the Grandstream HT802 FXS as a remote device has been tested and is supported by 3CX only and only if using the 3CX SBC provisioning method or Local provisioning method by utilizing a site-to-site VPN. This is also mentioned in our guide: https://www.3cx.com/voip-gateways/grandstream-ht-fxs/

This does not necessarily mean that it will not work in any other form of configuration, however, whatever that may be, it has not been tested and is not supported by 3CX.
