I am using AWS Transfer Family service, and have a SFTP server setup there with a user created that is setup with permissions to a specific bucket where I want those recordings to end up.

I tested the connection to the bucket using File zilla and was able to connect no problem and uploaded a file.

However, when I use the exact same settings inside of 3CX, I don't get the same results.

I checked the logs on the cloud watch and it shows a quick (I'm talking 1-2 seconds) connection and then it disconnects with no actions in between.

Has anyone set this up to have their audio recordings archive to s3 before, or know what I, or the SFTP client in 3CX is doing wrong?

Can anyone shed light as to why my audio archiving is failing?

Please note that the AWS S3 buckets that the Transfer Family service runs under, are not tested nor supported for use with 3cx archive or backup locations. You may consider using a Linux AWS hosted machine to backup using SFTP but not any services that use the AWS 3 buckets to run under.

Our final goal is to have the call recording from 3CX to our S3 bucket from where we can do the processing of file as per our application. Can you please suggest a better way to achieve it. Thanks

I'm afraid, and as already mentioned, AWS S3 buckets are not currently supported for recording archives from 3cx so there is not much we can advise regarding this. You may try google buckets which are supported.

In release version 18 of 3CX , is there any chance of getting this feature of remote archiving to S3 bucket using AWS transfer family as it is sftp only.

We do not have any information on whether this will be supported in version 18.
