I have an MP-114 FXS_FXO. I have set it up exactly as specified in the documentation, except the documentation has four ports of FXO instead of 2 FXS and 2 FXO. Could that be the reason it doesn't work?

Here is what I am getting:

:[CM102001]: Authentication failed for SipReq: REGISTER 192.168.0.136:5060 tid=ac461317046 cseq=REGISTER [email protected] / 788 from(wire); Reason: Credentials don't match, check that authorization-ID and password match the ones in extension settings

Of course I have set the authorization IDs and Passwords to be the same in both. I am running the latest version of 3CX and have flashed the latest BIOS in the 114.

Any ideas?

FYI this may help

I just setup the same exact audiocodes unit. I did notice that the 3xc system wizard for this setup the ext numbers and passwords as 10000 10000, but the instructions say to use 10800 10800. I belive this would cause your error, if you followed the instructions exactly.

I'll check that out. I'm beginning to believe that 3CX is not really ready for prime time. Not that my inability to use it is any kind of standard, but I also see others having problems that just shouldn't happen.

I will be setting up one of these MP units in the next day or so. I will check it out. If I have problems I'll post them. If I don't, I'll post what I did.

I had numerous problems setting up an AudioCodes MP-114. I can gladly say that for the most part is was dumb user error (man I hate ot admit it). The clients analog lines were actually centrex and noone informed me. I was stripping off the first 9 (used to specify an outside call) when in fact it was required to keep it there by the verizon centrex lines.

I also had the problem with authentication at first. I ended up flashing the bios to the most recent version and reentering everything (multiple times). I can say that it is now sticking.

I have numerous problems with 3CX not releasing the lines, especially if the user abondons a call during the auto-attendant. 3CX seems to keep the line open. I have had to setup a silence time-out on the audiocodes.

I am using 3CX at only a single customer site in production, but I too have some concerns over it "ready for prime time" status. I keep getting users lines open to vm; which causes all subsequent calls to sound garbled. The only solution so far is to restart the services. Not a solution for the end users.

Also if I do not restart the services every day or so the quality of voice calls is so poor users complain.

I've had an extremely hard time setting up MP-118 FXO with 3CX. Some of the instructions are not correct on 3CX website. I had a difficult time with Authentication Failed for lines like RichardU has described. I tried using blank password for lines in AudioCodes setup. That worked for one day and then it was back to Authentication Failed messages. I cannot remember what I did, but now it finally works with ID and Passwords as configured in 3CX.

3CX v.5 is definitelly buggy! I would agree that it is not ready for "prime time."

could anyone who cracked the MP-118_114 FXS_FXO send me or post your .ini file that you used to get your MP-118_114 FXS_FXO working in 3CX: Or does anyone want to buy a MP-114 FXS_FXO cheep? smile. by the by, cheers for craking this....

Here's a .ini file that I have use for about two months with almost no glitches. The ip addresses and serial # have been x out.

Excelente setup, now it's working great so far!!! But I still have some troubles with the voice setup. Do you or anyone knows how to fix the voice settings for better echo cancelling, Silence Suppression, problems with echo cancelling and cell phones, etc????
I think maybe this changes depending the countries or service providers but it has to be some rule that we can follow to proper setup.
thanks in advance

CSRC,

Thanks for posting your INI file. I noticed that it's quite different from the setup info posted by 3CX. If I read the INI file correctly, you are NOT using Profiles, you are NOT using "hotline" mode, you have defined one-line trunks etc.

Can you elaborate how you came up with this scheme?

I compared my INI file to yours and already found a few differences that I'll try next week. Can you just tell me where in the world you are located (in case there are some regional differences), e.g., who your PSTN provider is?

Also, my DSP version is quite different:
