I have a prioritized hunt queue for my reception, and I'd like to ensure that all agents are logged out of the queue at the end of the day. We've found that occasionally our late shift remains logged on, and they have a higher priority than the early shift, so calls continue to come to them the next morning even though they aren't present at their desk.

Is this achievable through an API? Can this be done using scheduling in the GUI? I realize I could play around with priority and polling strategies, but I'd rather not. Ideally, I'd be able to run a cron job that accessed an API that allowed me to log each agent off at midnight or some other arbitrary time. The morning shift already knows that they need to log in manually each day.

Thanks!

Hi @liquidate

What you can do is enable the option to automatically set the Available status during office hours for this extensions, under the Schedule tab, and also enable the Log out from queues option under the forwarding rules for each extension. What this will achieve is to set the users to DND when out of office hours and automatically log them out of the queue, and during office hours the status will return to available and log the agents back to the queue.

Thank you, @NikolasA_3CX . I have two groups of employees,

Group A arrives at 7 am and covers the queue until Group B arrives
Group B arrives at or around 8 am and then covers the queue until the office closes at 5 pm.

I'd be fine putting Group B in DND at 5 pm, kicking them out of the queue, and then back to available at 7 am, but I don't want them logging into the queue until they do so manually when they arrive (and they have coordinated the transition with Group A).

My understanding is that when Group B returns to "available", they will get the same queue status that they had previously (which could mean that they get logged back into the queue at 7 a.m.). Is this correct?

Is there an API that I can call in v20 to achieve this? Or is there one planned?

That is correct, when the user goes to available they will be logged into the queue.

Regarding the API, this cannot be done, and currently, we do not have any information if this will be coming later.
