Hi,
We have a client who uses around fifty outbound rules.
For example, they use the prefix 10 when they want to exit using the outbound rule "A".
or 20 to exit via “B”

In v18, it was possible to bring out reports using the outbound number.

Not in v20. To overcome this problem, we would like to add "billing codes" at the end of calls automatically based on the matched outbound rule.

How can we add the different billing codes in the outbounds rules in the "prepend" column?

I am unsure how you use the mentioned configuration for billing codes. Billing codes work with a prefix ** by default, followed by the code entered, which is found under the management console Reporting > Reports > call costs section, and in v20 > Admin console > Reports > Call costs. These are identical regardless of the version. This also goes for the outbound rules themselves.

In any case, the billing codes are triggered by users dialing the prefix that needs to be '**codenumnber'. The prefix entered in the outbound rule needs to be **code for the call to be passed to the relevant outbound rule, then set to stip the digits that are not required to be passed to the provider before the call is forwarded to them.

You can have multiple providers, one in each country, for example, triggered by the dialed prefix and used route calls based on the least cost routing and depending on which is required to process the call.

Then, the call reports will have the cost for the call based on what is configured in the call cost section.

Say, for example, I have a rate of 1 in the call cost for calling Belgium

My outbound rule looks like this: I want to strip all 6 digits, but depending on how the provider needs to have the number formatted, which, in most cases, if the call is international, you will need to keep the 0032. Then you will strip only 2 digits and so on)

My report will look like this and have a cost attached, as the call lasted just over a minute.

A rate of 1 can have any cost associated that can be used to calculate the monetary cost for that call.

It can be that 1 =1 Euro, so the call here costs 1,01 Euros. Call cost digits are per 60 seconds.
