Hello,
We are trying to figure out a scenario for a client with a paging system.
We are hooking up an extension to the paging system and we have done that in the past.
They have one other feature with their system that I'm trying to see if I can replicate. After hours if somebody calls in they can press a button and it will ring the paging system so that people on the floor will know somebody is trying to get a hold of somebody. So it's not piping the callers audio through but more piping a ringing sound.
I'm trying to see how I can replicate that if possible.
I'll have the paging system hooked up to an FXS port on an extension in 3cx. So when calling the extension the paging system will automatically pickup and then pipe the audio through.
So my first though is if there could be a way I could call the extension and then play an audio file to the extension which would then play over the paging horn.
Or if anybody else has some other ideas on how to achieve this requirement I'm all ears.
Thanks,
Serge.
