Backup settings and Update to 3CX Version 18, Update 6 RC2 907?

We have noticed some of our hosted by 3CX instances (v18) have all updated to Version 18, Update 6 907:


and the change log: https://www.3cx.com/blog/change-log/phone-system-change-log/ only shows the latest version as 905:



This update seemed to happen last week 27/01/2023 around 6:30 AM even though the update schedule is set to once per week on a Sunday which seems strange to me.

We have noticed since this update that the backup only supports the characters '1' or '2' and was previously rotating after 7 daily backups:



so now our backup rotation can only be set to 1 or 2 days on a daily backup.

Can someone explain what is going on here please?

Because it's hosted and 3CX already takes backups. So this is just a fallback backup and if they let more than 1-2 days, it could clog the VM disk and thus cause problems.

As @ConceptsWeb also mentioned in the latest update you cannot create more than 2 backup in rotation only for the local folder. If you want to keep more you can still use a remote location for backups:

Many thanks for the reply which explains that fine regarding disk space usage but still this seems to be an undocumented change as this was rotating to 7 backups until last week!

This still doesn't explain how the system got to Version 18, Update 6 907 when the change log only goes up to Version 18, Update 6 905?
