Hi all,

I just installed a new BeroFix1600 with GSM Module. It's been 3 years since the last time I did it. I remembered that the last time I was able to add the gateway via 3CX and then press generate config file. This however is not working anymore (see image)

Anyway I added the gateway using the BeroFix internal "easy setup" (Apperenty 20.03 has a 3CX Wizard that I am unable to find), however after following the steps it registers. Adding inbound and outbound rules, and voila it works.

Question 1
When I place a call to the mobile, my extension rings and I see as CallerID the IP address of the BeroFix. Not entirly sure how to change that to the actual number for the party that is calling?

Question 2
If I connect the Mobile / GMS line to an IVR, DTMF are not recognized. I like to believe that wasn't the case before?

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I am running 3CX v16.5 as VM (Debian) on Windows 2019 Server with HyperV

There should be an option (or several) dealing with caller ID. But before you do that, look at the 3CX Activity Log, at a call, to see if the caller ID is there, but (perhaps) being sent in a field, that 3CX is not using.

This will probably be a function of he DTMF Method being used in the device placing the call, and the setting in the GSM gateway. The Method used in each must match. There is usually In-Band, a couple of out-of-Band choices, and perhaps an AUTO setting. You may have to try several combinations. If you use In-Band (audio DTMF), then do not attempt to force a low-bit-rate Codec, as audio DTMF will not pass properly, Stick with one of the G711 choices.

Thank you for the reply. I will look at the activity log for Q1, but for Q2 I looked at DTMF settings in the berofix and can't find any options. The GUI is crap on these devices I might have overlooked it. Any idea where it is?

I'm not familiar with that device, nor have I configured a GSM gateway, but, I assume that the gateway will simply pass In-Band DTMF, and will convert out-of-Band, into DTMF tones.

You may want to try a call through the gatway, to a phone you can answer, have the caller press a few keys, and see if you hear the tones.

Ok fixed.

Q1
It was indeed wrong setup user field

Q2
Coded used G729 (was pcma as default)
