Hello,
Searched the forum for best practice on reusing an extension. Just want to confirm that this process is still correct?
1. Delete the extension - this would delete all existing voicemail and prevent the old user from gaining access even if they have had the app on the their smartphone
2. Re-create extension with new user's name - this would re-provision everything in the background with new PINs for VM, etc. (there is no need to wait for any period of time after the deletion before we recreate the extension?)
If those are indeed the only steps required, will all the phones show the new user's name when a call is received from the reused extension? In our previous software PABX, we have to manually reboot each phone out there for it to show the new name. That normally won't be a problem as we could issue a global command for all phones to reboot except that not all phones will actually reboot resulting in a lot of walking around.
