Here is the scenario on how our offices are connected with 3cx bridges.
Branch Office (22xxx) <-> Head Office (21xxx) <-> Overseas Office (23xxx)
To call the branch office from head office we dial 22xxx, the 22 is stripped off with an outbound rule and call is sent to the branch office PBX successfully. On the receiving phone we see caller ID of "21xxx," the calling extension, which is fine as that's the number to dial to return the call.
The overseas office and the branch office are not directly connected and won't be. So calls need to go through head office. If 22xxx is dialed in the overseas office, it goes to head office, but no digits are stripped in the outbound rule and the full 22xxx is sent to head office so it can be routed to the branch office. Head office gets the call, strips the 22 on it's outbound rule and sends the call on. However, the caller ID seen on the receiving phone is 2123xxx
It should just be 23xxx of the dialing person. Where is the 21 coming from and how do I suppress it?
PS all calls work fine. It's just the caller ID that's wonky.
