Call by Name Issue

There is an issue with the Call by Name feature with names of less than three letters.

Two of our employees have the last names of "Ng" and "Qi." When we hear, "Please Enter The First Three Letters of the Persons Last Name..." we hit N & G or Q & I, then press # and it just repeats the prompt.

Hi Leejor,

I know of the workaround. I doubt any of our clients or family / friends of the staff, who use that service to contact staff, do.

They are just typing two letters + pound and not getting through.

You might have to record a new greeting that explains how to dial two character names.

Or, 3CX can change this function so it accepts two letter names. A bit simpler than subjecting anyone who uses this feature to another recording. There are no single letter last names so that can be skipped.

Edit: Apparently, "O" is a Korean family name derived from 오 My error.
