I just finished upgrading to V15. When I make a call into the PBX from outside the network, and enter an extension, the extensions Self ID plays for about 3 to 4 seconds, then the call drops.

Any guidance would be great. TIA, Larry

Checking the 3CX Activity log would be a good place to start. It will show you what is happening to the call, and hopefully provide clues as to how to correct.

Thats the first place I checked. Below are the logs of a call I made into the system, pressed extension 199, the call rang for 20 seconds as set in the extension, then dropped. If I set the option to forward call to VM after 20 seconds, to 5 seconds, the call goes to VM fine. Seems to be something about the length of the call.

There may very well be another timer involved that is set to terminate the call if not answered. You know it works when set to 5 seconds, but not 20. What about 10, 15, or 19 seconds?

What about an internal call to that extension, does it ring the full 20 seconds? Does this happen with other extensions as well?

If the users greeting is 20 seconds, I have to set the extension to transfer to VM after 5 seconds, then the call goes to VM. Where should I look for these timers?
