I have the Grandstream GRP2614 phones and have noticed that when a call is logged and you go to return it from the phone, you get the error that "No dial plan rules matched"
The phone number is formatted as +1xxxyyyzzzz I cannot seem to get a rule to just strip off the + and dial out.
Any help would be most appreciated...

...or set up E.164, in 3CX to convert the + to a usable (local, national, international) prefix in the outbound rules.

Ok, I think it is working, but only for newly saved calls. The old calls are still unusable, but I guess that is just how it is...

I did try reformatting the format +(1)(...)(.*) to be 1\2\3 with the expectation that I would strip the +1 off and replace with 1 and the rest of the number, but I am getting the same result.

If the newly implemented CID rule is working, then only calls received since that point will have the + removed. Logically, any previous calls will still have the leading + and will fail.

If you continue to have issues may want to investigate the use of E.164 settings in 3CX.

The advice @leejor gave is correct. The CID inbound mangling is more of a hack, setting the correct E.164 settings is the proper fix and should fix your outbound issues.
