Finally got everything running and able to make outbound calls since Saturday but as of today, when I make outbound calls, after 3 rings, the call just ends.
I have enough call credit with Dataphone, so that is not the reason and wondered if someone could shed some light on the problem I might be having?

What information shall I share here to be able to see my setup?

Many thanks.
James

You need to look at the activity log and see why the calls are being dropped.

Have you spoken to Dataphone, to see if there can see an incoming call.

Hi James,

The call is probably being ended by the provider's side.

You can run a capture from the Activity Log page and make a call and let it ring until the timeout.

Then you can look at the capture and see whether the provider is ending the call (most likely the case).

The provider can then tell you whether they are stopping the call after 3 rings, or if the recipient is the one ending the call.

By default 3CX would allow you to keep ringing for 5 minutes before the PBX gives up.

I only see a Call Log and no Activity Log (new to 3CX and used Ctrl + F to find all reference to "Log")

Will call them today, thanks

Hi John, I am calling my own cell phone, so I would expect to see it ringing but it doesn't.

Just found the Activity Log now on the Dashboard

This is the Log details

06/04/2020 7:41:20 AM - Call to T:Line:10000>>0820000000@[Dev:sip:[email protected]:5060] from L:49.1[Extn:00000] failed, cause: Cause: 403 Auth Failed/INVITE from 41.76.200.38:5060
06/04/2020 7:41:20 AM - [CM503003]: Call(C:49): Call to <sip:[email protected]:5060> has failed; Cause: 403 Auth Failed/INVITE from 41.76.200.38:5060

I change the phone number of course.

Yep, its probably best to contact the provider so they can provide some feedback from their end too if their server responds with a 403.
