Hi All,

Hoping I can get some help here, I have configured Twilio as the trunk and got the caller ID in place (number that I purchased from Twilio). I have installed the 3cx app on my phone and created my user. I have set my Twilio number as the caller ID; the issue is when I make a call Twilio sees my personal cell phone number not my Twilio Caller ID number therefor the call fails.

I have verified the following: in the user setting (My ext) the caller ID is set as the twilio number (my main pbx number), in the Trunk setting caller ID is set as the twilio number.

Are you using the 3cx app on your phone when making the call?

This is what I see in the Twilio logs:
SIP: 'From' phone number not verified: The caller-ID 2029993353 is unverified. SIP Trunking terminating calls to PSTN must use a valid Caller ID in the From Field. A Valid Caller ID is either a DID you have purchased from Twilio or a verified Caller ID.

I have already verified the number with Twilio the issue is something is stripping the +1 from the phone number.

What has me confused is the caller id from the cell phone, the 3cx app should act just like a 3cx phone ext.

When you call the DID from an external phone will it ring at your 3cx phone app? can you call local exts on the 3cx app?

I am just trying to make sure you are in the 3cx app, and not the phone dialer.

Is this extension, also on another device? If so, what caller D is sent when a call is placed from that device?

A call originating on 3CX is only capable of sending a caller ID that you have datafilled somewhere. Have you looked at the Activity Log, right from the initial invite, from the extension, to see how the call progresses?

Try putting you phone on airplane mode, then enable Wifi, then try a call through the App, on your home network, or a hotspot. What caller ID is shown?

Hi, in coming calls are fine, def. using the 3cx app. Looking at the logs on twilio i think something is removing the first digit in my number

Hi same number (my twilio number) but without the +1

So...to be clear, your Twilio number comes through, as it should, and not your mobile number, if you put your mobile on airplane mode, and call using Wifi?

I think I am getting closer, Twilio support is now telling me that I am dialing sip:+1026692692 but i am really dialing +12026692692 something is stripping the "2" that should be in front of the 0266... I checked my outbound rules and nothign there is doin gthat.

Hi @only1yoni

Navigate to your Settings / E164 and disable that as a test. Does it work then?
Adjust your outbound rules accordingly.

Hi thank you for the reply, it was already disabled. The rules are not removing any digits for national call any other ideas ?

Please send us some screenshots from your E164 settings (even though its disabled) and your outbound rules so we can have a better picture of what is going on.

This might sound strange but go into your E164 settings, enable them, change the country to something irrelevant and disable the option "Remove if same Country". Then disable the E164 processing again and click OK to save your changes.
Try again let us know.

The next step is to check your activity log and see what is actually being sent by 3CX. Navigate to your Dashboard / Activity Log / Settings and set the logging level to Verbose.

Then make another call and wait for it to fail. Navigate back to your Activity log and filter by call. Select the latest in the list and search for the Invite to the provider. Check what the PBX is sending and see if the issue is there.
