when i receive a call, instead of showing the called id, i am getting as incoming call form the NAME field of the inbound rule and not the actual called id number
Sounds like you will need to work on the generic sip trunk mappings in the 3cx console to select the correct field.no we are using are country phone line provider which is not ip based
local national telephone line tdm alcatel e10 old version
if i plug a regular phone i can see the caller id, if i plug to my grandstream trunk, it is not showing anymore on 3cx
This was helpful to me.If you are using a PSTN gateway, then I would suspect that the Caller ID settings are not set correctly in that device. I would first check the answer delay setting (may be called...number of rings before pickup), this is how long (how many rings, or seconds) the device waits until sending that call to 3CX, and then check the caller Id type setting. Make sure that matches the caller ID type used by your provider.
If the PSTN switch uses Bellcore type Caller ID, then it is send between the first and second ring. If the gateway sends the call to 3CX without waiting for the data (about 3 seconds), then no caller ID will be sent.
Founded in 2005, when VoIP was an emerging technology, 3CX has gone on to establish itself as a global leader in business communications.
